Strawberry Gum Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • Your favourite plain ice cream (vanilla works best)
  • 1 tsp finely ground strawberry gum (adjust to taste)
  • Optional topping: red frogs or your favourite lolly
For Variations:
  • Swap strawberry gum for 1 tsp aniseed myrtle, lemon myrtle, or dukkah.

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Ice Cream:
  • Scoop your desired amount of ice cream into a mixing bowl.
  • Sprinkle 1 tsp of strawberry gum (or chosen spice) over the ice cream.
2. Mix it Through:
  • Using a spoon or spatula, smash and fold the ice cream to evenly incorporate the flavouring.
3. Serve and Top:
  • Scoop the flavoured ice cream into bowls or cones.
  • Top with red frogs or your favourite lolly for an extra treat.
4. Explore Other Flavours:
  • Try the same process with aniseed myrtle, lemon myrtle or even Dukkah for a unique twist.
  • Adjust the amount of flavouring to suit your taste.

Tips:

  • Experiment with toppings like crushed nuts, chocolate chips or fresh fruit to complement your chosen flavour.
